LEGO Star Wars 75159 Death Star officially announced

The announcement has arrived for the latest LEGO Star Wars set, 75159 Death Star, a set that has already caused a great deal of frustration in the fan community. There’s no doubt that debate over the set will continue, but at least it can now be conducted with a bit more information, as the LEGO Group have provided a product description, price information and images.

The LEGO® Star Wars™ Death Star™ was a huge hit with fans when it launched in 2008 and we are excited to announce that we have made some awesome updates and improvements to this huge model! Our designers added over 200 bricks and elements as well as 3 new minifigures. This 2016 version offers a great building experience to both those fans who have the original set, and those who may be new to the LEGO® Star Wars™ universe. This is not an indication of any future re-release or set updates.

    I see that they have stuck the old UCS tag on it…………..

    Not having bought the original, methinks I could be tempted. But that is a huge wedge. Lets see.
