A designer video has been released for the new Ultimate Collector Series set, LEGO Star Wars 75181 Y-wing Starfighter.

In anticipation of its launch tomorrow, the LEGO Group has released a designer video focusing on LEGO Star Wars 75181 Y-wing Starfighter. Designers Jordan Scott and Maddy O’Neil talk through the new Ultimate Collector Series set, explaining the importance of adding this level of detail to the build.

Jordan explains how important using the original movie blueprints was, while Maddy reveals his own fandom that inspires him while working in this dream job.

LEGO Star Wars 75181 Y-wing Starfighter will be released on May 4, as part of the annual May the Fourth promotion. Any LEGO Star Wars purchase over a certain threshold, will get 40288 BB-8 for free for the promotional weekend. The exclusive polybag includes unique printed pieces in a buildable version of the adorable ball droid.
