LEGO Star Wars 75230 Porg time-lapse build video

Ahead of the release of the new LEGO Star Wars set, 75230 Porg, fans can see the build come together.

On October 1, the LEGO Group will launch a new Star Wars set, 75230 Porg. The adorable bird like creature from The Last Jedi is being released as a statue, complete with plaque and mini Porg. Ahead of the launch date, io9 has released a time lapse video showing the build come together.

75230 Porg measures 10cm high, making it quite close to the height of the creatures in the movie. Rather than being completely static, the mouth opens and a flapping wing function is built into the set. A display stand shares key facts about the animal, as is common with Star Wars Ultimate C0llector Series sets. It puts the build in a similar style to last year’s 75187 BB-8 set.

In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Porgs are natural to the island oh Ahch-To, where Luke Skywalker has spent years in hiding. The little critters end up nesting onboard the Millennium Falcon, taking them on a galactic adventure with Rey, Chewbacca and R2-D2.

The 811 piece set will retail for £59.99 when it launches on October 1, the same day that 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City goes on general release.
