LEGO Star Wars Battles mobile game announced

A new LEGO mobile game is on the way, with LEGO Star Wars Battles due for release next year.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm have announced LEGO Star Wars Battles, an action strategy game for mobile devices. It promises to include familiar characters, vehicles and locations with multiplayer battles.

The game has been developed by TT Games Brighton and allows gamers to select characters from anywhere in the Star Wars saga and then pit them against one another as part of a deck of forces to be used in fast-paced matches. According to the announcement, “intuitive touch controls” will allow players to dive into a strategy game that requires them to destroy the enemy.

“We’re very proud to extend the LEGO Star Wars video game legacy with LEGO Star Wars Battles, a new experience built from the ground up for mobile devices,” said Jason Avent, Studio Head, TT Games Brighton. “We hope players will enjoy the unique combination of LEGO Star Wars with deep strategy in deck building and innovative territory capture by constructing LEGO towers.”
