LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett’s Palace rumoured for 2022
The previously-rumoured LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Palace is now said to be based on the upcoming Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.
Word of a brand new Jabba’s Palace – the first since 2012’s 9516 Jabba’s Palace, which was embroiled in controversy – originally emerged online last week, with very few details to go on. However, Instagram user lego_fulcrum now claims that the rumoured 2022 set will actually be based on The Mandalorian’s first spin-off series.
The post-credits scene that capped off the show’s second season teased Boba Fett and Fennec Shand having taken control of Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine, with the bounty hunter front and centre on the Hutt’s throne. Any subsequent LEGO set would therefore likely feature both of those characters, although we still don’t have even any rumoured details beyond the specific era.
That said, if this report pans out as expected, it does mean we won’t be seeing the return of Jabba the Hutt – last released in 2013’s 75020 Jabba’s Sail Barge – or the likes of Bib Fortuna, Salacious Crumb or Oola. And it also means the model could really come in at any size: either as a full palace, aping 9516; a small vignette of just Boba, Fennec and the throne; or somewhere in between.
For now, this is still just a rumour – even if it’s one that feels slightly more credible, given the timing (The Book of Boba Fett is still scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in December) – so treat it lightly until confirmed otherwise by the LEGO Group.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Boba’s Palace sounds interesting.
I am still hoping for them to release a new MTT, the timing seems to be right and hope they get it done
