LEGO Star Wars 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room already discounted in the US

Costco has already started selling the newly-revealed LEGO Star Wars 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room in the US – and at 20% off its retail price.

Following an early unveiling by Amazon Germany, the LEGO Group finally pulled back the curtain on 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room yesterday, confirming a release date of March 1 and a price tag of £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. Costco has thrown all that entirely to the wind, however, by selling the 732-piece set already, and for only $80.

That’s according to redditor RabidWookie55, who posted an image captioned ‘thank you, Costco’ to the LEGO subreddit. They then explained in the comments that the set only cost them $80 to acquire from a store in Utah, representing a full 20% off its retail price. If you’re based in the US and itching to get your hands on the first set from The Book of Boba Fett, it’s probably worth trying Costco.

Yes, technically speaking this is actually a LEGO Star Wars set from The Mandalorian, given its characters recreate the post-credits sequence from the end of that show’s second season. But the setting appears more frequently in The Book of Boba Fett, and the box art for 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room firmly establishes its links to the spin-off series.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
