75184 Star Wars: TX-225 Occupier Tank

Dang Empire, we recognise that you are out rule the galaxy but don’t you think the name of this tank is a bit on the nose? Rogue One continues its run with today’s TX-225 Occupier Tank, made famous by being part of the sequence that introduced new fan favourite Chirrut Imwe. Instantly recognisable, this model also has some fairly useful parts in it which is a nice change from yesterday.

60155 City: Tree cutter

My hat is off to the employee at LEGO who picked this facial expression. This chap looks so manically happy to be on his way to the Christmas tree grove it is almost cute. We have switched back to Jungle from Coast Guard in the latest whiplash manoeuvre of the City Advent Calendar. Yesterday’s clearly uncut tree is meant to indicate what this guy is up to, though our theory about the City calendar’s potential dark side certainly adds an air of malfeasance to this guy’s other possible intentions.

41326 Friends: Christmas tree

This is almost how a Christmas tree should be done – although there are some oddities. First, where are the ornaments? Unlike the City model, that was obviously meant to be uncut this one has a heart on the top and, presumably, a pink line of ribbon wrapped around the trunk a third of the way up. Ornaments are easy to add in the form of one by one rounds on the bottom of the slopes. All is forgiven though thanks to that green droid head that makes a much more realistic taper than yesterday’s City tree.
