75184 Star Wars: Rey’s Speeder

Today’s model is a bit tricky to judge. Kudos must be given to the designer for so accurately capturing the look and proportions of Rey’s Speeder at this scale. Is anyone actually going to display this? If not then it unfortunately does not have much in the way of positive attributes. The parts are all fairly standard and, due to the scale, it really isn’t useful for display unless perhaps as a toy for a young child in the LEGO Star Wars universe.

60155 City: Snowblower

Of all the models seen thus far in any of the three calendars this is the one that is most ready made for a display. A LEGO fan can take this snowblower and pop it in any Winter Village scene, it will look right at home. It is perfectly scaled with enough detail to blend in, and is true to the real world look of these machines; this is everything to hope for in an advent calendar model.

41326 Friends: Parrot and perch

Bunny, dog, now parrot – this truly is the year of the Friends pets. I have some serious questions. Are these all for Stephanie? Have her parents considered the food bills? How will a busy girl like Stephanie possibly keep up with caring for all these lives she is now responsible for? Last but not least, does this parrot model have anything to offer AFOLs? Thankfully the answer is yes, thanks to the brown and lattice gold arched window. Whether for Pirates, Castle, or modular building MOCs, this is a part that is extremely versatile.
