LEGO Star Wars May the Fourth promotion revealed

This year’s LEGO Star Wars May the Fourth promotions have been revealed, allowing fans to start planning their purchases.

Each year, the once fan driven May the Fourth weekend is exploited by Star Wars licensees eager to encourage devotees to part with their money. For obsessive collectors, the exclusive freebies make it hard to resist putting an order in, and this year is likely to be no exception.

On Friday, May 4, the all new Ultimate Collector Series set, 75181 Y-wing Starfighter will get its official launch, available for fans to order. Additionally, any LEGO Star Wars purchase over $75 (UK and Europe thresholds to be confirmed), will get 40288 BB-8 for free. This exclusive polybag includes unique printed pieces in a buildable version of the adorable ball droid.

Unlike previous years, 40288 BB-8 will not be available for the rest of the weekend. Double VIP points on LEGO Star Wars purchases will continue throughout the weekend though, with 75181 Y-wing Starfighter and 75192 Millennium Falcon excluded. Selected sets will be discounted by up to 20%.
