LEGO Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi set price change explained

The reveal of the new LEGO Star Wars sets wasn’t without error as a change has been made to the latest prequel model since the announcement.

On May 25, 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter was one of three new LEGO Star Wars sets revealed and listed on the official online store. However, you might have noticed a change from the initial listing to what is on LEGO.com at the time of writing.

With three minifigures including the first of Taun We and 282 elements, the Star Wars model was available for pre-order immediately ready for release on August 1. However, it had a different price than it does now. As recorded by BrickJoy on Facebook, in the UK 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter was originally listed as £24.99, though you’ll now find it available for £29.99.

We can confirm that we received pricing information from the LEGO Group at the time of release that was different to the prices on LEGO.com, specifically noting that 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter would cost £29.99.

This means that the prices for this build weren’t increased after launch, but that the costs on LEGO.com were incorrect and have now been updated with the proper information. However, it does mean that those who didn’t pre-order 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter in time will need to pay the intended price of £29.99 in the UK.

In the US and Europe, 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter is available to pre-order for $29.99 and €34.99 and you can read about five things we found in the latest LEGO Star Wars range by clicking here.
