LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a no-show at The Game Awards
Yet another major video game event has come and gone with no sign of an update on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
The last we heard on the long-anticipated sequel was at Gamescom in August, when Warner Bros. and TT Games confirmed that the saga-spanning title had been delayed yet again to spring 2022. Originally announced at E3 in 2019 with a vague release date of 2020, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has since been pushed back first to spring 2021, then again to next year.
While we’re all eagerly awaiting news on a more concrete release date – or really any tidbit of news beyond the most recent trailer – Warner Bros. failed to deliver anything at last night’s The Game Awards, which saw announcements and trailers for plenty of other video game titles coming our way in 2022 and beyond.
It’s not all quiet on the LEGO Star Wars front, however, as Warner Bros. has at least restarted marketing for the game through its social channels. At the current rate of its tweets, we’re due another glimpse at The Skywalker Saga any day now – even if it just a looping character animation (we’ll take anything we can get at this stage).
