LEGO Star Wars Solo build: 75207 Imperial Patrol Battle Pack

Will the vehicle from the Imperial Patrol Battle Pack appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story? Probably not, but let’s build a micro version anyway…

While fans wait for Solo: A Star Wars Story to arrive in cinemas, the LEGO Group has released five new sets to get builders familiar with the main vehicles that will appear in the film. If you want to decorate your desk with something from this stand-alone movie though, the actual sets are rather too big. Every day this week, Brick Fanatics will provide instructions to build a micro version of one of the new Solo sets.

If I am completely honest, I don’t really know what this is… but then that often feels like the case with Battle Packs. Like most of these sets, I imagine it is just a LEGO Group conceived speeder rather than something that has come from the film itself, although I may be proven wrong when Solo: A Star Wars Story is released in May.

I will say that I really like the design of this speeder and I particularly like it at micro scale. One caveat to this build is that it is very flimsy, definitely better for display rather than play. The way I have connected the two slope sides using clips and one long bar really works and is stable, but does make for a very delicate model.

In case it is not clear from the images, the final step requires two 3l black bars and two 1×1 round plate with holes in dark red for the front guns. As this was a micro build based off a Battle Pack, I decided to include a micro Stormtrooper too! Comprised of two 1×1 round white plates, one 1×1 round black plate and one 1×1 round white tile, this is completely optional but I think it is a nice touch.
