LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga pre-order price drops

The price for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has dropped for those who are pre-ordering the upcoming game.

Amazon and other retailers had listed LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga at £59.99 on pre-order, but that price has dropped to £49.99. The game is expected to be released in October, but with Warner Bros. Interactive being cagey about the exact date, there is the possibility it will be delayed.

Those who pre-order will get the best price between now and its release date regardless, but it is good news for gamers that the price has dropped a bit.

Covering all nine episodes in the core storyline, the upcoming game promises the usual blend of button bashing fights, problem solving and character switching, with a new open world component. LEGO Star Wars sets released later this year will include unlock codes to open content within the game.

Five things fans need in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The game will include almosyt 500 playable characters, Craig Derrick, managing producer at Lucasfilm Games, confirmed in May: “There are nearly 500 characters in this game, with many of them playable. When choosing characters for a game this large, we just looked at every film in the saga and tried to say ‘yes’ as much as possible. That said, it often comes down to storytelling and the specific role of the character in the quests and game progression. Of course, we have almost all of your favorite heroes and villains from the films, many background players, a few surprises, and… Yaddle!”

The last LEGO Star Wars video game was The Force Awakens, released in 2016.
