First LEGO Store set to open in Tel Aviv before the summer

The LEGO Group has announced that it plans to open its first LEGO Store in Tel Aviv, with the location ready for Israeli shoppers before the summer.

The LEGO Group has already revealed that the first LEGO Store in Ireland will open in 2022 and that the largest LEGO retail location in Germany is due in Munich later this year. As the company continues to confirm new bricks and mortar shops, it’s now been announced that the first LEGO store in Tel Aviv will open its doors in the coming months.

Although no specific date has been revealed, the Tel Aviv store is planning to be up and running before the summer. This should be great news for local LEGO fans, as prices of sets are high in Israel, with many collectors having to resort to shopping online and importing items from other countries.

According to the Jewish News Syndicate, the opening of the LEGO Store will be overseen by Israeli entrepreneur Euran Tor, who is the owner and CEO of TorGaming, the company that also brought Nintendo to the country.

“The LEGO Group sees the Israeli market as an important and strategic target,” said Tor. “There are customers here that very much appreciate LEGO and ultimately it is an emotional connection. I don’t think I’ve ever known any other brand that is loved so much.”

There’s no word yet on exactly where the Tel Aviv LEGO Store will be located, its exact opening date or the size and features of the retail location.
