LEGO Super Mario 2021 Master Your Adventure Maker Set announced

A brand new creative toolbox is coming to LEGO Super Mario in 2021, allowing gamers to customise their play experience.

71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set includes a bespoke ‘Customization Machine’ that changes how the digital Mario figure reacts to his environment, using three accompanying ‘Special Bricks’. The toolbox also introduces a new Start Pipe that knocks down the time to reach the Goal Pole, but increases the rewards along the way.

Unlike the other expansion packs revealed today, there’s no recommended layout for the Maker Set. Instead, the 366-piece kit includes a variety of platforms, plates and enemies to expand your LEGO Super Mario course in any way you see fit. Check out all the images and details below:

“It wouldn’t be Super Mario if we weren’t constantly creating new worlds and adventures for everyone’s favourite Plumber,” said Simon Kent, Design Director and Creative Lead for LEGO Super Mario. “The LEGO Super Mario sets we released earlier this year have been extremely well-received by fans and we’re really excited to build on those with even more characters and experiences today.”

The LEGO Super Mario team has also today revealed three new expansion packs, two new Power-Up Packs, and a second series of Character Packs. All the new sets, including 71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set, will launch on January 1, 2021.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
