LEGO Super Mario Character Packs Series 3 officially revealed
Hold on to your Goombas: the LEGO Group has officially revealed the third series of Super Mario Character Packs, with 10 new characters to collect.
That follows the format established by previous blind-bagged series, which have each offered one of 10 different buildable characters along with a slice of terrain to connect to a wider LEGO Super Mario layout.
The new series includes nine new enemies to encounter, along with a single power-up to grant the digital Mario figure an extra life. Check out images of the full collection below, both on their own and in-situ in a full LEGO Super Mario course.
The characters from top left to bottom right are: Scuttlebug, Swoop, Parachute Bob-omb, Amp, Torpedo Ted, Crowber, Galoomba, Bony Beetle, 1-Up Mushroom and Boo.
There’s no word yet on a price or release date for 71394 Character Packs – Series 3, but it’s safe to expect they’ll launch on August 1 (alongside 71387 Adventures with Luigi) for £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99, in step with January’s 71386 Character Packs – Series 2.
For now, you can catch up on every LEGO Super Mario set so far (including those previous character packs) at LEGO.com. You’ll need a copy of 71360 Adventures with Mario to make use of any of the digital functions in the expansion sets and character packs.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
