LEGO Super Mario introduces 31 new LEGO pieces

It’s a new element bonanza in the LEGO Super Mario theme, with 31 new bricks joining the LEGO portfolio

LEGO Super Mario has been unveiled in full, with the game-based theme set to launch on August 1. It is packed with new pieces, some of which make the course quick to build so children can get right into the gameplay, while some help depict those familiar Mario characters.

Here is the full list of 30 new elements found within the sets, provided by the LEGO Group:

  •     Element for Toad and Mushroom heads
  •     Shell (used for small and medium enemies)
  •     3×3 round element (used for Shy Guy face and in Bowser’s Castle)
  •     Pipe (used in 71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course and 71362)
  •     Arm (used for medium sized enemies)
  •     2×2 feet (used for small sized enemies and friends)
  •     3×2 wide feet (used for medium size characters)
  •     Face plate (used for Bowser Junior’s face + the sign in LEGO Mario’s House)
  •     4×4 x 2/3 base plate (LEGO Super Mario system for all sets)
  •     4×4 x 2/3 base plate without studs
  •     Base plate 6×6 x 2/3 (LEGO Super Mario system for all sets)
  •     Base plate 8×8 x2/3 (LEGO Super Mario system for all sets)

  •     2×2 tile with pre-applied tag (used in various sets)

  •     Regular LEGO Mario hat
  •     Spinner LEGO Mario Hat (used for Power-Up pack)
