LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey Helicopter will not be listed on Bricklink

The LEGO Group’s influence on Bricklink is being felt in the strange case of LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey Helicopter, as the set will not be listed on the official reselling platform.

Bricklink is now the official LEGO website for reselling and buying LEGO sets and parts, and it is now having an impact on what fans will be able to find on the website.

LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey Helicopter has been cancelled, although not before the LEGO Group had already started selling and shipping the product. As a result, the company has confirmed it will not be listed on Bricklink, meaning it cannot be sold through the website:

Bricklink has a policy which states that no items can be listed prior to their official LEGO release date. As this product will not be released, it will not be able to be listed on Bricklink.

That policy has not been applied before, with other unreleased or limited release sets listed on the website. There is some confusion around the meaning of the word ‘released’ here, as the LEGO Group is claiming not to have released the set; yet the company has to some extent, as a number of retailers are selling the copies they have received.
