LEGO Technic explores the world of engineering in a duo of new sets
Two new sets join the roster of LEGO Technic vehicles today, including an authentic and functional tow truck recreation that uses no electronics.
LEGO Technic continues to release its iconic complex creations this summer with a pair of vehicular additions to the growing garage. These include 42128 Heavy-duty Tow Truck and 42129 4×4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck but whilst the latter relies on motorisation and the CONTROL+ app to function, the former can operate straight out of the box.
Using pneumatic air pumps and pressure, 42128 Heavy-duty Tow Truck offers everything you need to clear the streets of your LEGO city of wrecked, broken or otherwise stopped traffic.
These are both brand new LEGO Technic sets you can now find on the official online store releasing today, August 1:

Young engineers (and old ones too) will likely appreciate the authentic functions including the lowering outriggers, and various crane booms that all contribute to the recognisable heavy-duty vehicle recreated in the way that Technic is known for. The recreation also includes the flashy designs on the side of the truck, such as some kind of orange monster lifting a car away – are we sure he’s licensed for towing?
LEGO Technic 42128 Heavy-duty Tow Truck is out now for £139.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 with 2,017 included elements.

- LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes.
