LEGO The Art of the Minifigure book published in May

Chronicles Books has revealed that its upcoming LEGO The Art of the Minifigure hardcover book will now see publication in May.

Following yesterday’s reports regarding the first-ever LEGO Ideas puzzle, plus a range of books and calendars, the publisher has now revealed another imminent release. LEGO The Art of the Minifigure was originally due to arrive last year but has a revised date of May 26.

The 144-page book has been written by Brian Barrett, News Editor at WIRED, and is set to explore the ‘history, design and cultural impact of the iconic LEGO minifigure.’ The hardcover publication will feature numerous interviews, in-depth essays, full-colour photography and never-before-seen visuals from inside the LEGO archives.

LEGO The Art of the Minifigure looks like it will be a must-have title for all LEGO fans, offering a unique deep dive into the creation of the world famous plastic characters. To promote the upcoming release, Chronicles Books has released images of some of the book’s internal spreads, showcasing the kind of content we can expect to see inside.

The Classic Space themed puzzle was created by aido_k and is set to arrive on May 24.
