LEGO VIP add-on packs revealed, including pirates and pigs

Images of three new LEGO VIP add-on packs have surfaced online, offering a potentially inexpensive way to stock up on pirate accessories and pigs.

Those are the most eye-catching elements across the three new Xtra-style sets, 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack, 40514 Winter Wonderland VIP Add On Pack and 40515 Pirates and Treasure VIP Add On Pack, which were originally spotted on Bricks and Pieces last month, albeit sans images.

A fourth set is also listed, though there’s still no picture of 40513 Spooky VIP Add On Pack yet. There’s also no word on how or when these add-on packs will be released, but their names suggest they may be available in the VIP Rewards Centre, or given away as gifts-with-purchase exclusively to VIP members.

40515 Pirates and Treasure VIP Add On Pack includes a shark, skeleton, cannon, treasure chest and basically everything you need to pad out a purchase of 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay, while 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack is a more random assortment of colourful elements, from minifigure accessories and plants to pineapples and pigs.

40514 Winter Wonderland VIP Add On Pack features an appropriate mix of white and trans-light blue pieces, with a smattering of seasonal elements to flesh out any Winter Village Collection display. And while there’s no pic of 40513 Spooky VIP Add On Pack at the moment, its inventory is listed on LEGO.com, teasing the Halloween-themed collection’s skeleton, spider, bat, witch’s hat and so on.

Stay tuned to find out how and when you’ll be able to get your hands on all four of these VIP add-on packs.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
