LEGOLAND California Resort welcomes new brick-built stadium

As previously reported, the world’s largest brick-built stadium has arrived at LEGOLAND California Resort as part of the park’s Miniland USA.

A new addition to the LEGOLAND California Resort, the SoFi Stadium was constructed by 25 master model builders who spent more than 6,000 hours assembling the attraction. The brick-built LEGO stadium is the largest in the world, standing more than 30 feet long, 15 feet wide and four feet tall.

LEGOLAND California Resort’s Miniland USA will play host to the SoFi Stadium, which was made from over 500,000 individual LEGO elements. The time-lapse video below shows the builders putting the massive modular model together, from seats and crowds to pitch and players. A section of the outside of the stadium has also been removed to allow visitors to easily view the interior.

The SoFi Stadium model is the largest such build to date and that means it’s on track to break the current Guinness World Record, which is held by the Allianz Arena recreation in LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. A previous social media post on the SoFi Stadium build was shared last month, revealing how digital sculpting software was used to help construct the inside of the model.

As well as the new SoFi Stadium attraction, LEGOLAND California Resort also recently received a visit from Jurassic World: Dominion actor Jeff Goldblum. The star was there to take a look around the park’s newly dinosaur-filled Miniland attraction.

As a reminder, LEGO for Adults 10299 Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is also available now, offering builders the opportunity to construct their very own massive stadium, one of the biggest LEGO sets of all time.
