LEGOLAND California’s new Miniland expansion is full of Easter eggs
LEGOLAND California has a new expansion to Miniland, bringing a miniature recreation of San Diego locations to the park filled with references.
As showcased on Twitter, the LEGOLAND California Resort’s San Diego Miniland expansion is now open with 55 landmarks from the city to see, made out of LEGO bricks.
However, there’s more to this Miniland attraction than you might expect as the first images of the small San Diego have revealed a lot of references to retro themes, minifigures and more.
The fair features a pair of rides inspired by Classic Space and Blacktron complete with costumed figures for each. The former attraction even resembles the logo for the theme.
Revealed on the San Diego Convention Center’s Twitter, the miniature convention centre has dozens of Miniland figures in cosplay including some inspired by The LEGO Movie and various series of LEGO Collectible Minifigures.

As the latest addition to the resort, the San Diego Miniland expansion has had a notable level of thought poured into it by the design team and those not in the area anytime soon can still appreciate the details in these images.
