LEGOLAND Florida Resort to open Pirate Island Hotel in 2020

Pirate Island Hotel is a new accommodation option opening in 2020 at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

Next spring, the LEGOLAND Florida Resort will open Pirate Island Hotel. The new accommodation will be inspired by the classic LEGO Pirates theme and will be connected to the existing LEGOLAND Hotel. It will be made up of 150 new rooms, a heated pool – and of course hundreds of LEGO models.

“We’re really excited to offer a brand new family-friendly experience and continue our park’s expansion with a third on-site hotel accommodation,” Rex Jackson, General Manager for LEGOLAND Florida Resort, told Attractions Magazine. “LEGOLAND Florida Resort is committed to putting a smile on every child who walks through the door and Pirate Island Hotel will certainly help us achieve that goal.”

The new hotel will feature a Pirates themes restaurant, a space for entertainment, LEGO play pits and a lobby bar. As with other LEGOLAND themes, each room will be carefully themed with treasure chests, unique props and boat shaped bunk beds.

“Pirate Island Hotel will offer a completely unique guest experience for swashbucklers of all ages,” said Kevin Carr, Director of LEGOLAND Florida Resort Hotels. “Pirates have a long history tied to the state of Florida and we look forward to providing memorable experiences to our future guests with an entertaining, memorable and fun hotel. Whether it’s interacting with life-size Lego characters in the lobby, uncovering Lego bounty at the end of an in-room treasure hunt, or soaking up the sun in our heated pool, Pirate Island Hotel will be the perfect place for families to make long-lasting memories.”

The LEGO Movie World will open this year at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort.
