LEGOLAND Master Model Builder needs the Birmingham Brick Factor

The LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham will choose the venue’s new Master Model Builder this Saturday at a special one-off event.

After sifting through more than 7,000 applications, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (LLDC) Birmingham team have invited 40 finalists to participate in the Brick Factor, the event that will choose the new attraction’s Master Model Builder.

The Birmingham Brick Factor will take place on Saturday, March 24, from 11.00am until 3.00pm at the Bullring shopping centre, outside of Debenhams. Two sets of 20 applicants will face some testing challenges to prove their LEGO prowess, with one group competing in the morning and another in the afternoon. These finalists will have access to 90,000 LEGO elements in order to meet the high expectations of the judges.

In attendance will be LEGO MASTERS stars Guy and Abraham, who will help to judge the contest. Bertie, the LLDC’s giant minifigure mascot is also expected to make an appearance and upstage the proceedings.

Like other LLDC locations around the world, the Master Model Builder will maintain the builds houses in the massive LEGO play centre and run build classes for young visitors. The attraction will also include themed play zones, build areas and rides, and is set to open this summer.
