LEGOLAND teams up with Ferrari in brand-new experience
A brand-new experience is launching at two LEGOLAND theme parks in Europe, in a partnership between Ferrari and Merlin Entertainment.
Launching this spring at both LEGOLAND Billund and LEGOLAND Windsor theme parks, LEGO Ferrari Build and Race is a new interactive experience where visitors can build, test, and race their very own LEGO Ferrari. This builds on the success of a similar attraction already on offer at LEGOLAND California.
To start guests off, a LEGO pit crewmember will greet visitors on arrival at the attraction, sharing Ferrari fun facts, race history, and showcasing themed LEGO race gear and awards. Once inside, visitors can also take a photo with a life-size LEGO Ferrari before building their own LEGO Ferrari car to race at one of three racetracks. Each track features different obstacles, challenges, and a chance to set the fastest time
Visitors will then be able to create a custom digital Ferrari race car which is digitally projected on a LEGO racetrack based on Pista di Fiorano, a private racetrack owned by Ferrari for the brand’s own testing. Visitors can then. compete with other cars for the fastest digital race lap. Seeing as a LEGO Ferrari is the fastest brick-built vehicle on the market, this is sure to be a test of champions.
“Renowned for its innovation, performance and quality, Ferrari aligns perfectly with our ambitions of partnering with the world’s most exciting and innovative brands,” said Scott O’Neil, CEO of Merlin Entertainments in a statement. “Our partnership with Ferrari accelerates our IP partnerships at our iconic LEGOLAND® Theme Parks. This is exactly the type of premier new experience that will have our guests revving their engines to visit in 2023.”
