LEGOLAND Windsor wants you to help celebrate its 25th birthday

The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is now a quarter of a century old, and it needs your help to properly celebrate the occasion.

You can’t have a party with just one person (or just one faceless entity), so LEGOLAND Windsor is calling on visitors to join in its 25th birthday celebrations by submitting their video memories of the theme park to its official website.

“We want to see all our guest awesome memories in one place, whether it’s a video of when you first conquered the dragon and your face makes everyone laugh, or of your little builders exploring around Miniland looking amazed at what they’ve discovered,” the campaign page reads.

If you want to get involved, head over to the LEGOLAND website and start uploading your footage. Just don’t be surprised to see it pop up in a LEGOLAND advert somewhere down the line, because you’ll also need to agree to the clip being used in marketing communications.

LEGOLAND Windsor is set to open its doors to the public again on April 12 (in line with the national rollback of coronavirus restrictions). Its new MYTHICA expansion will then debut on May 29, along with multiple new attractions and experiences – including the UK’s first flying theatre ride.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
