London Festival of Architecture hosts live LEGO contest today

Professional architects will compete to build the most innovative project with LEGO bricks today in London, UK as part of the London Festival of Architecture.

London Festival of Architecture has been going on throughout June, with the Big Architecture Family Day taking place today – and incorporating a LEGO event into the schedule.

At 2.00pm, professional architects will compete to build the most innovative project that considers the boundaries between old and new in an urban setting – a relevant challenge for those in the industry. Attendees are welcome to turn up and see how these professional architects “consider their surrounding built environment and forge a new relationship between historic and contemporary architecture, all in LEGO form.”

Today, the festival is holding the Big Architecture Family Day, with activities taking place at the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly. RA LEGO Architecture Challenge takes place from 2.00pm until 4.00pm.
