London Toy Fair 2016

It’s that time of the year for the London Toy Fair and for the 4th year running we have found someone who is attending and has offered to send us info, do massive thanks to Twitter user cakeinmilk (Barry). As in previous years, photos are not allowed so we will rely on Barry’s eyes to get as much detail as possible. He is due to be shown round from 11am.

Next up after London is Nuremburg which starts Wednesday and our German friends Promobricks will be there, followed by the New York Toy Fair which should be covered by one of our American friends. Let’s see if we can beat last year’s record-breaking traffic day!

There was no coverage on Mixels, only one Minecraft set and Angry Birds was just showing what we have already seen.

Lego have forced Brickset to remove all their reviews of this London Toy Fair – utterly ridiculous. I wonder when you will get told to take down this info?

Nothing will be getting removed as we have not breach any agreement. Our report came from a 3rd party not as an official represenative of this site and the info we did post didn’t break anything as far as I’m aware 😉

If the technic sports car is front-engined, it cant be a McLaren since that is a mid-engined super-car.
Someone on another forum suggested it might be a Porsche 911 (which would be good since I hate Porsches and would therefore have zero interest in buying such an expensive set 🙂

What part(s) are they using for the rails on the Friends roller coaster?
What color is the technic sports car and what wheels is it using?

Yeah a little underwhelming really. The only thing that peaked my interest was the Killer Moth and Killer Croc minifigures. And that ‘Encounter on Jakku’ set sounds like the most overpriced thing ever!

This is great, thanks so much ! Some questions that would be awesome to get answered if at all possible..
75148 Encounter on Jakku – does Rey come with a new face design, and her Rebel helmet ?
75150 Darth Vadar’s Tie Advanced – £29.99 – Is this price right ? Seems way way too good to be true ! Would also love to know if it looks like Ahsoka’s in this set or not. (this is a Rebels set, right ?)
