Look at this odd LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71037 Series 24 koala

An unusual but funny LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71037 Series 24 misprint has been shared online, affecting the new koala element.

As part of the Conservationist minifigure in 71037 Series 24 of the Collectible Minifigures, a brand new LEGO koala is included. We’ve taken a closer look at the intended design for this adorable element in our in-depth review. However, Reddit user buddhax411 has discovered a different design.

Their 71037 Series 24 koala has the eyes and nose printed further down the piece, giving the koala an extra-large forehead and putting the nose on its shoulder.

LEGO misprints are rare and can fetch a high price on the aftermarket and we’ve even offered one as a competition prize previously, offering an idea of how collectable they can be, despite being entirely unintentional.

As for the unfortunate koala with a nose on its shoulder, IsThisDamnNameTaken in the comments suggests that this could in fact be a drop bear, though it seems unlikely that they exist even in the world of minifigures.

71037 Series 24 is available now on the official online store and physical stores too for £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99 per bag and with 12 minifigures to collect.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
