More LEGO Harry Potter sets rumoured to be releasing in 2022

A rumour suggests that there could be a number of potential new LEGO Harry Potter sets due for release throughout 2022.

Promobricks is reporting that even more LEGO Harry Potter sets are on their way in the coming months, including what could be the most expensive in the theme to date. The new sets are said to be primarily based around Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The report lists potential product numbers, set names, piece counts and prices (in Euros) for some of the items, whilst others only include a vague description. The rumoured LEGO Harry Potter releases are as follows:

76400 Hogwarts Carriage with Thestrals

€19.99 – 121 pieces, June 1

What may be the smallest of the summer wave sets is said to include a carriage with Thestral, a small tree with mushrooms, Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood minifigures and a Thestral foal.

76401 Hogwarts: Sirius’ Rescue

€49.99– 345 pieces, June 1

Rumoured to be based on a similar scene depicted in 2004’s 4753 Sirius Black’s Escape, this set is reported to consist of the Dark Tower, a fountain and two courtyard arches. Also said to be included are Sirius Black, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley minifigures.

76402 Hogwarts: Dumbledore’s Office

€79.99 – 654 pieces, June 1

Reported to be based on the 2002 4729 Dumbledore’s Office set, this Hogwarts extension may feature a large centre section, with two side buildings attached at 45-degree angles. Possible minifigures are said to be Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Severus Snape, caretaker Argus Filch and his cat, Mrs Norris, Harry Potter and Cho Chang.

76403 Ministry of Magic

€99.99 – 990 pieces, June 1

Available for the first time in LEGO form, 76403 Ministry of Magic could be based on its appearance in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (and seen in LEGO Dimensions). The set is rumoured to feature the front of the Ministry, six offices that can be stacked on top of each other, a bridge between offices and the Hall of Prophecies. A simple fountain may also be included, with a golden minifigure. Possible minifigures in the set could be Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Dolores Umbridge, Arthur Weasley, Lucius Malfoy, two Dementors and Fenrir Greyback.

76404 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar

€34.99 – 334 pieces, September 1

No additional details have been revealed regarding this year’s potential LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar, other than that it may be slightly more expensive.

76405 D2C set

€469.99

This high-priced direct-to-consumer set is rumoured to be available at some point this year, but there’s no information regarding what it might be, when it will arrive or what it will be based on. The most recent LEGO Harry Potter D2C was last year’s 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition.

76406 Hungarian Horntail

€49.99 – 671 pieces, June 1

Promobricks states that this set may be a brick-built version of the magical creature previously released as part of the 75946 Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge set from 2019. The model is reported to be the successor to 75979 Hedwig and 76394 Fawkes and may feature moveable wings.

76407 Shrieking Shack

€89.99 – 777 pieces, June 1

4756 Shrieking Shack was originally released way back in 2004, making it 18 years since the set was last available. Details are scarce on this model, with rumours suggesting it may include minifigures of Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and possibly Severus Snape and Peter Pettigrew.

76408 TBC

€119.99

No information is available on this final set, which is due to be released at some point this year. The price tag suggests it could be a follow-up to last year’s 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger, however.

The LEGO Group has yet to confirm any upcoming LEGO Harry Potter sets for 2022 beyond those releasing on March 1, so treat all of the above information with extreme caution for now.
