Movie cast members return for The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special

Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Kelly Marie Tran are reprising their movie roles for The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is coming to Disney+ on November 17, providing a festive special with all of the humour fans are accustomed to in LEGO Star Wars animation. StarWars.com has confirmed that Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Kelly Marie Tran will be back, voicing Lando Calrissian, C-3PO and Rose Tico.

Familiar voices from The Clone Wars will also be joining them, with James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, Tom Kane as Yoda and Dee Bradley Baker as the Clone Troopers. “We’re particularly thrilled that these great actors from the Star Wars family chose to reprise their roles and came to play in this LEGO sandbox,” says Josh Rimes, Lucasfilm Director of Animation Development.

Lucasfilm Vice President Franchise Content and Strategy James Waugh revealed that the synergy between the special and advent calendar was intended early on: “We suddenly started thinking, ‘Well, this all makes sense.’ From there, we worked with LEGO to make sure that the Advent Calendar was truly integrated with the show. Both companies worked hard to create a connection and influence the other in the special and the product.”
