LEGO Star Wars 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter is now on LEGO.com

This summer’s biggest LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars set 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter is now listed on LEGO.com, revealing its piece count, price and when we’ll be able to buy it.

Following suit with the rest of this summer’s Star Wars sets, 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter will be available to purchase through LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from August 1, alongside 75310 Duel on Mandalore, 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle and 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter, however: our first glimpse of the fresh take on a ship last seen in 2012’s 9525 Pre Vizsla’s Mandalorian Fighter came yesterday, courtesy of a since-deleted Japanese consumer catalogue.

It is our best look yet at what to expect from the 544-piece set, though, which rings in at a cool £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. Along with a gyroscopic cockpit that allows the ship’s wings to sit either vertically or horizontally (or anywhere in between, if you’re feeling radical), 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter includes three brand new minifigures: Gar Saxon, Bo-Katan Kryze and a Mandalorian Loyalist.

This is the first time we’ve seen either of the two named characters in LEGO form, and at least one of them represents some serious synergy in this summer’s sets. While this is specifically a Clone Wars-themed set, Bo-Katan also crossed over into live action in the second season of The Mandalorian, which much of the rest of this wave takes inspiration from.

Head over to LEGO.com for all the deets on 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter, then start saving: August 1 is shaping up to be a very expensive day for Star Wars fans.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
