Two LEGO Harry Potter and Star Wars freebies are back in the US

A pair of previous LEGO Star Wars and Harry Potter gifts-with-purchase are available once again online in the US.

40452 Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms (review) and 40451 Tatooine Homestead (review) were both available with qualifying purchases at separate intervals earlier this year, and both are now back stateside to fill an otherwise vacant month of promos.

Strangely, they’re not advertised on the offers page, but adding $100 of LEGO Harry Potter sets or $85 of LEGO Star Wars sets to your basket will trigger the relevant freebie. It’s pretty slim pickings for the Wizarding World right now – 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger is the only single set available above $100 – but Star Wars fares a bit better.

In fact, there’s plenty from a galaxy far, far away to take you above the threshold for 40451 Tatooine Homestead, from 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle up through 75309 Republic Gunship. A combo of smaller sets would also get you there across either of those themes, while buying a mix of Potter and Star Wars sets will allow you to double up on promos.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
