Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton reveals dream LEGO purchase

Racing superstar Lewis Hamilton has revealed both a childhood love for LEGO sets and Star Wars with his latest dream purchase.

When it comes to racing royalty, Lewis Hamilton is easily in pole position. The British driver is currently competing in Formula 1 for the Mercedes AMG Petronas team and to date has won a record seven World Drivers’ Championship titles, plus numerous podium finishes and trophies.

As well as being a racing ace, Hamilton also has a diverse range of interests off the track, including singing and recording music, fashion and philanthropy. Adding to those pastimes, the Formula 1 star has also now revealed his childhood passion for both LEGO sets and Star Wars.

In a recent Instagram post, Hamilton stated that, ‘LEGO was my fav thing as a kid apart from racing! Haven’t touched it since I was young and I finally got myself this bad boy. Since I’m a Star Wars fan ­– this is a dream.’

The LEGO set in question is shown to be 75192 Millennium Falcon, with the £699.99 set mere pocket money for one of the highest-paid professional sports personalities in the world. Hamilton should have plenty of time to construct his dream set, with the latest Formula 1 season set to continue when the Azerbaijan Grand Prix starts on June 12.
