LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer announced

The next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set has been announced as 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer.

Hinted at some time ago, rumoured for a while and teased last week, LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer has now been officially announced for release on September 18. It will be priced at £649.99 / $699.99.

Following in the style of 75192 Millennium Falcon, the imposing Imperial vessel is getting the modern UCS treatment. Using 4,784 bricks and measuring 110cm long, the set promises to be a display piece worthy of the Empire.

The set is specifically inspired by the Devastator. A mini Tantive IV ship will allow fans to recreate the unforgettable opening of A New Hope, that sees the smaller vessel swallowed by the behemoth. Two new minifigures – the Imperial Officer and Imperial Crew Member – are included with the set along with as a buildable display base.

The product description promises “features swiveling guns, a tilting radar dish, huge engine exhausts and intricate surface detailing” and “two blaster pistol weapons”.

75252 Imperial Star Destroyer will be available exclusively at LEGO.com from September 18.
