New experience coming to LEGOLAND MYTHICA later this month

A brand new ‘Magical Forest’ experience is coming to LEGOLAND Windsor’s MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures land later this month.

The self-guided area will debut on April 30 at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, marking a ‘new chapter’ in the story of MYTHICA, the multi-million-pound land that originally opened in May 2021. Billed as an ‘immersive experience’ for families, the walk-through section will feature new brick-built models and augmented-reality games.

“We’re hugely excited to be launching The Magical Forest, which dives deep into LEGO MYTHICA in an extraordinarily captivating way,” said Helen Bull, Divisional Director at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. “Kids and their parents will be able to explore this enchanting walk-through experience filled with an abundance of amazing mythical creatures built out of LEGO bricks.

“We can’t wait to welcome families once again to this epic land, which received five-star reviews last year and is the perfect place for families to build memories together and let their imaginations run wild.”

Among the new models – constructed from ‘tens of thousands of LEGO bricks’ – are Crystal Claw Crabs, Flower Horn Rhinos and Baby Lava Dragons. You’ll meet all of these characters by exploring the Magical Forest, before ending up in the Lava Dragon’s cave, where the beast will ‘swoop and sail’ over guests’ heads.

The Magical Forest will be MYTHICA’s first new attraction since it opened almost a year ago, celebrating LEGOLAND Windsor’s 25th anniversary. You can take a tour of the new area – which was the result of several years of planning and development, and a hefty £20 million investment – with Brick Fanatics by clicking here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
