New LEGO Harry Potter sets officially revealed

The new LEGO Harry Potter sets have been officially revealed.

Later this year, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be back in the LEGO range. Five of the new sets have been revealed by Entertainment Weekly, all based on the classic Potter stories. Fans will be excited to have another chance to own classic Harry Potter scenes as LEGO sets, with the theme having been a long hiatus.

The new sets include a Quidditch match, the Whomping Willow and the Hogwarts Express. Plenty of characters from the books and films are represented as minifigures, including Harry, Ron and Hermione – but also the Dementors and Snape.

The Whomping Willow set is a surprise, as rather than just including the tree and the Flying Ford Anglia, it also includes a section of Hogwarts School that can be added to the already revealed 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall. The Hogwarts Express set also includes a little something extra, with a section of Platform 93/4 included.

One more classic Harry Potter is expected to be part of the launch wave in August – Aragog with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.

The LEGO Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme will launch on August 1. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released in cinemas on November 16.

Not a big collector of sets anymore, but I spot some rather interesting new elements featured in these sets so am looking forward to them.
