New LEGO VIP scheme offers exclusive rewards for points
The new LEGO VIP scheme has launched and fans can exchange points for exclusive items.
As trailed, LEGO VIP has changed, with a new blue hue and more besides. Those logging into the shop.LEGO.com Rewards Centre will find quite a few changes, including the opportunity to buy exclusive products with points. These have all been give-aways in the past with qualifying purchases, but now fans with enough points can order LEGO Iconic VIP set, Ford Mustang key ring and a selection of Marvel points. LEGO DC Super Heroes Bat-pod has already sold out.
Points can also be exchanged for tickets to LEGOLAND theme parks, LEGOLAND Discovery Centres and the LEGO House.
As for the gift voucher rewards that fans are used to, these are better value in the past with every £5 in LEGO vouchers costing 800 points. That means customers looking to save £5 need to spend £80, making the cashback rate 6% rather than 5%.
Fans will be keen to see how the program develops, and with plenty of appealing new sets such as LEGO Jurassic World 75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage and LEGO Creator Expert 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (review) to choose from, there are lots of opportunities to earn points.
