New TV spot ahead of LEGO DC Super-Villains release

The imminent release of LEGO DC Super-Villains has been announced by Warner Bros., TT Games and the LEGO Group.

LEGO DC Super-Villains be released this Friday, October 19, giving fans the opportunity to play as their favourite DC Comics bad guys. The new release has been nominated as one of the Best Family Games of 2018 by E3’s Game Critics Awards. To announce the launch, a new TV spot has been released.

“With the amount of content packed into LEGO DC Super-Villains, along with the Season Pass content in store, there is loads of mischievous fun for players to jump into,” said Arthur Parsons, Head of Design, TT Games Publishing.

“Players will be captivated by the story and adventure, embarking on hours of content including story levels, quests, recruiting and unlocking other villain characters to join you, and exploring the hidden secrets scattered throughout Gotham and Metropolis,” said Phillip Ring, Executive Producer, TT Games Publishing.

Earlier today, research was released that showed the love that the UK public has for the villains, in particular the Joker.

“DC has some of the most popular Super-Villains in the world and it’s exciting to see these characters call the shots in this new game,” said Ames Kirshen, Vice President, Interactive & Animation, DC Entertainment. “Fans will love teaming up with The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and host of other DC characters as they play through this light-hearted story set in iconic DC locations.”

“Whether you’re playing solo or with a partner in crime for two-player, local co-op, LEGO® DC Super-Villains brings the family-friendly fun, with a playful, villainous twist that both new and existing players will enjoy,” said Sean McEvoy, VP Digital Games, The LEGO Group.

As well as the regular edition, a Deluxe Edition version of the game will include Season Pass content, early access to the TV Series DLC Character Pack, and an exclusive LEGO minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman.

LEGO DC Super-Villains will be released on October 19.  It is available for pre-order now, in a standard edition and also a special edition including an exclusive Lex Luthor minifigure.
