Official LEGO Advent Calendars Day 24

Every day until December 24, Brick Fanatics takes a look at the gifts in the LEGO CITY, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Friends Advent Calendars for 2016

Tis the night before Christmas and for our CITY Advent Calendar that means following the tradition of revealing a Santa minifigure. This has been helped in the past few years by the Collectible Minifigure which has provided specialised elements that make the minifigure rather accurate. Older calendars had to make do with pirate bandannas to represent his hat.

This is not the most festive way to end the Friends Advent Calendar. These cute pet sets have been part of the Friends theme since the beginning, although whether keeping a polar bear as a pet is advisable is questionable.

advent-171

The final day of a Star Wars Advent Calendar always reveals a special Christmas edition Star Wars minifigure. This has been a mixed bag through the years, but fortunately this year the choice is fabulous. The final door contains a Christmas Chewbacca complete with holiday lights bandolier.

He can ride on the sleigh from yesterday.

Each day, we will compare the three builds and pick the best.

Chewbacca triumphs today – the Santa minifigure is great, but he is hardly original and the polar bear is an odd final choice.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for our Advent Calendar roundup.

The scoreboard

CITY: 6

FRIENDS: 7

STAR WARS: 11
