Today we get the answer as to why that volcano explorer dude from yesterday was not happy. He is flying a remote control helicopter the size of a person. Forget firefighters, this year’s featured emergency service group should have been medical – that thing could decapitate someone.

After a number of items and food spreads have been just sat on the floor, today the Friends calendar provides a table with legs. It includes the relatively new teapot element to boot.

Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter has been a favourite in these Advent Calendars in years past because it is so delightfully easy to render in miniature scale. It is done well again here thanks so some nice SNOT construction.

Each day, we will compare the three builds and pick the best.

Although the CITY helicopter is a neat micro build, today Star Wars takes the prize for a very well done little model.

CITY: 5

FRIENDS: 3

STAR WARS: 6

When I was 3 years old my dad bought home 6659 TV Camera Crew as a gift — he had no idea what he had just unleashed. Three decades and no dark age later, I am still going strong. My love of LEGO led me to a career in Civil Engineering and I am now raising three budding LEGO lovers with my lovely wife who is, bless her, a huge supporter of my brick addiction. When not writing for Brick Fanatics or fulfilling my duties as the U.S. Editor of Blocks Magazine I enjoy collecting, MOCing, exhibiting, as well as running, climbing and home improvement.
