Our favourite new LEGO minifigures in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition

LEGO Harry Potter 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition may be the largest model of the train yet, but its collection of new minifigures shouldn’t be overlooked.

Now that 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition has been officially revealed, closer images of all 20 minifigures in the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter set have been revealed, including those iterations that have never received a minifigure before.

From an adult Harry Potter to an important member of the Hogwarts Express, here are our favourite never-before-seen minifigures in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition.

5 – The Train Conductor

While we’ve had many iterations of the Hogwarts Express in bricks before, 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition is the first to include the train’s conductor.

The previous model of the Hogwarts Express was the first to include a member of staff in the form of the Trolley Witch, but she has now been joined by the first and long-awaited minifigure of the Hogwarts Express train conductor, making this the most complete version of the train to date.

4 – A scuffed Ron Weasley

Making up one of a couple injured minifigures in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition, this Ron Weasley is scuffed by design, with a small mark where his nose should be matching with the dirt that was on his nose in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

That and the addition of a Chocolate Frog and lollipop in his pockets make it an especially detailed minifigure of Ron Weasley and one with references for fans to appreciate.

3 – An updated Remus Lepun

There have been many Remus Lupin minifigures in LEGO Harry Potter, especially recently with 76407 The Shrieking Shack & Whomping Willow and even in the previous Hogwarts Express build.

However, the minifigure in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition stands out thanks to the detailed printing on his legs, including a belt, the tattered areas on his coat and the coat itself in a darker colour than it has been depicted previously.

2 – Grown-up Ginny Weasley

As part of an exclusive group of LEGO minifigures in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition, one from a scene never seen before in any LEGO Harry Potter set, the grown-up Ginny Weasley minifigure lines up with the final moments of the franchise where she proudly sends off her children as they start their adventure at Hogwarts.

Considering the context behind this version of the character, it’s one of the most appealing minifigures in the new set, but not quite the most appealing.

1 – An older Harry Potter

It’s safe to say that the older Harry Potter minifigure featured in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collector’s Edition is one of the bigger draws to the model for longtime fans of the franchise.

Much like Ginny, this minifigure is based on the final scene from the Harry Potter films, taking place 19 years after the defeat of Voldemort as we get to see these characters one final time. The design of the head closely matches his proud smile while also showing his age and experience. It seems unlikely that we’ll see this minifigure in another model anytime soon.
