Our number one LEGO set is back in stock online

LEGO 71040 The Disney Castle is once again available to buy online, and has therefore shot straight to pole position in our Top 20 LEGO Sets List.

Okay, so ordinarily LEGO Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon would be top of our list of the very best sets available right now. But it isn’t available right now, which means the 7,541-piece behemoth surrenders its gold medal to Mickey and the gang.

71040 The Disney Castle’s stock levels are pretty temperamental too, of course – this is the first time it’s been available since February 7 – but the point is that you can actually buy it at the moment, so it takes the Top 20 title from another strong contender (but one that would usually be in third place), 75978 Diagon Alley.

All this is to say that you definitely shouldn’t sleep on 71040 The Disney Castle if it’s not already part of your collection, particularly because it’s been around since 2016, and surely won’t be available for much longer.

That’s not just to suggest it will soon drop temporarily out of stock again – that’s pretty much a given (we’ll see you tomorrow morning for the proof) – but that it could realistically retire for good any day now. If the words ‘Magic Kingdom’ mean anything at all to you, this is a set you can’t miss out on.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
