LEGO Speed Champions James Bond and Fast & Furious sets rumoured

A new LEGO rumour has surfaced suggesting that licensed Speed Champions sets for James Bond and Fast and Furious might be coming soon.

A list of possible LEGO Speed Champions 2022 sets was reported late in 2021 to include five models all scheduled for a March release. We know that the theme is continuing until at least 2023. However, Promobricks has stated that two more rumoured sets are planned for August 1 based on film franchises.

LEGO Speed Champions has only partnered with car manufacturers so far but the source states that two creations reportedly listed before at an online retailer, 76911 and 76912, are coming based on James Bond and Fast & Furious. Both movie licenses have been represented in bricks before thanks to 10262 James Bond Aston Martin DB5 and 42111 Dom’s Dodge Charger, though neither included minifigures.

The rumour mentions on Instagram that 76911 will be an Aston Martin DB5 for James Bond and 76912 will be a 1970 Dodge Charger for Fast & Furious, matching the vehicles in the official models. The source also believes that they will come with minifigures for Dominic Toretto and James Bond, though they aren’t sure which actor the second could be based on.

It is also reported that a third model will release later this year titled 76913, though nothing more is said other than a release date of August 1.

As we learned earlier today, always remember to treat all LEGO rumours with appropriate caution until confirmed officially by the LEGO Group as they may turn out to be false.

“LEGO Speed Champions has only partnered with car manufacturers so far…”

This is incorrect; Lego Speed Champions has also partnered with Microsoft and Playground Games for the video game Forza Horizon 4, and its Lego themed expansion. This included the McLaren Senna (the hero car of the game), the 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo, and the Ferrari F40. Expanding to include movie franchises such as F&F or James Bond makes complete sense.
