Rebuild the World ad reveals first LEGO NINJAGO Season 15 set

A Rebuild the World ad has given us our first glimpse at an upcoming LEGO NINJAGO set, suggesting Season 15 may be taking our heroes underwater.

The promo image appeared on the social media feed of a LEGO Certified Store in Chile, and depicts multiple sets emerging from a backpack with the tag ‘back to school’. Among those products are 76173 Spider-Man and Ghost Rider vs. Carnage, 42118 Monster Jam Grave Digger, and an as-yet-unrevealed LEGO NINJAGO set.

According to Ashnflash, the model is 71750 Lloyd’s Hydro Mech, which will retail for $19.99 in the US. It’s decked out in a very appropriate green and gold colour scheme, and the cockpit’s resemblance to a diving helmet – coupled with the set’s name – indicates we’ll be going underwater for the next season of LEGO NINJAGO.

There’s no word yet on when exactly this set will launch, but if it’s already part of promotional materials, you can expect it to arrive in the not-too-distant future. Given the Season 14 sets will go live at LEGO.com next month, the smart money is probably on a June release.

We’ll keep you posted with more on the next wave of LEGO NINJAGO sets as we get it. For now, you can order the latest batch of NINJAGO Legacy models directly from LEGO.com – including the impressive 71738 Zane’s Titan Mech Battle – while a fresh range of sets based on Season 14’s The Island will launch on March 1.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
