Robot developed that can build with LEGO bricks

A newly developed robotic system is capable of building with LEGO elements.

In a report by the BBC, a robot has been put in the spotlight that can actually build with LEGO bricks.

Unlike typical machines built for assembly, BrickBot understands the task at hand and can adapt. Yotto Koga, from AutoDesk, believes that this design is the future. “So we want to make sure that we engineer this system so things like when the LEGO shoots out of the fingers it realises that and then it reacts accordingly to adapt to that.”

Unfortunately BrickBot still drops a few bricks, having not quite fully mastered the task at hand. But Koga has faith that these kind of small scale robots are the future of performing basic tasks.
