Rumoured LEGO Gaming theme gets a not-so-secret code name
After a period of silence, a LEGO Gaming theme could finally be on its way in 2023.
According to 1414FalconFan on Instagram, the code name LEGO Lemon has been attached to a new LEGO Gaming for 2023. So far, only one rumoured set is attached to it, with the set name 76990. It’s believed to include 292 pieces, suggesting a small start for a possibly massive theme.
This isn’t the first time that such a theme has been rumoured. Back in 2021, reports of a LEGO Gaming theme surfaced with a listing for 76980 Titan, despite being a LEGO Overwatch set that was yet to be released. However, few updates followed that initial report, until a new logo for LEGO Games was revealed.
This branding then appeared on 30629 Finnius Dash, a mysterious new LEGO polybag spotted on the Certifications and Policies page on LEGO.com. This lent merit to the rumour that a 2K LEGO football game could also be on its way.
For now, none of this is confirmed and won’t be until we get confirmation from the LEGO Group. What gaming images would you like to see recreated in bricks for a LEGO Gaming theme?
