Seven Marvel Cinematic Universe characters who need a LEGO minifigure

After a lengthy break, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is back, continuing the over a decade-long story with plenty of memorable characters who still need a minifigure.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already been the subject of so many LEGO sets. However, most of the minifigures in these models focus on main characters, meaning that some of the equally-great characters with less screen time. There’s even some with plenty of time on the silver screen that hasn’t received a minifigure.

With that in mind, Brick Fanatics is here to list the top seven MCU characters who still need a LEGO minifigure.

1 – Darcy Lewis

You’d be forgiven for not knowing who on Earth this character is, but doctor Darcy Lewis is an astrophysicist who first appeared in Thor, then again in Thor: The Dark World. Those movies were her last appearances until Marvel’s newest TV series, WandaVision, which has seen the scientist return in a central role – thereby priming her for a LEGO rendition in any future set based on the show. A minifigure could be of her in the iconic beanie hat, a recognisable article of clothing for Darcy Lewis.

2 – Korg

Korg made his debut appearance in Thor: Ragnarok and is one of the more unique characters in the MCU, largely due to his rocky features. This character was a warrior in the Grandmaster’s arena before escaping with Thor. Then, in Avengers Endgame, he was seen playing video games in the aftermath of Asgard’s destruction. Taika Waititi, director and voice actor for Korg brought plenty of charm to the role and has become a fan-favourite amongst the rest of the MCU’s cast. As for a minifigure, Korg might be best suited for a larger form like what has been done for Hulk, otherwise some fairly detailed printing would be needed for the rocky appearance.

3 – Odin

Another Thor character is next, with Odin taking the third spot on the list. Odin is the father of Thor and Loki and was played by Anthony Hopkins. He made appearances in all three Thor movies in a fatherly role. The character was powerful, stoic and equally mysterious. There was even a short time where Anthony Hopkins adopted his acting to play Loki pretending to be Odin, a very memorable part of the MCU. This character is practically begging for a minifigure after so many appearances. It’s hard to believe that it would be impossible to achieve, as it could be created with entirely existing parts and new prints. Perhaps one day the father of gods will finally receive his due minifigure.

4 – Luis

Luis was undoubtedly the comic relief of both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp but actor Michael Peña earned his way into the hearts of fans nonetheless. One of the character’s most iconic scenes is of them recapping the events of MCU movies in a rushed and fast-paced way that brought another touch of comedy to the MCU. This would be Michael Peña’s second minifigure after Kai from the LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE and arguable another easy figure to design, just as long as he has his signature smile.

5 – Kraglin

Actor Sean Gunn’s character Kraglin has only made a few appearances too but will be a part of the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder movie as well as Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. With two more upcoming appearances, this character definitely still has a good chance of receiving a figure, and after taking control of Yondu’s flying arrow, would be another superpowered minifigure to add to fan’s collections.

6 – Heimdall

Idris Elba played Heimdall, guardian at the gate of Asgard in all three Thor movies and Avengers: Infinity War, making another character with plenty of screen time that strangely has yet to receive a minifigure. This could largely be due to just how many new pieces would be required for an accurate portrayal. Heimdall’s armour and sword is one of what makes the character special and would need to be fully recognised in minifigure form, meaning a potentially expensive production cost.

7 – Stan Lee

No matter what you argue, Stan Lee is technically a Marvel Cinematic Universe character, making quite a lot of cameos throughout the franchise. In fact, these cameos became central to whatever character he played. Eventually, in Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 it was revealed that these were all one character who had been informing a powerful group of figures as to the events of the MCU. Unfortunately, Stan Lee has now passed away, leaving behind an epic superhero legacy. A minifigure would be the perfect way for the LEGO Group to recognise his work and is a dream for many LEGO fans.

These are just seven of many, many more characters that also deserve a minifigure, but in some cases, fans may just have to accept that when it comes to the future of the MCU, there are plenty more choices for the LEGO Group to pick from.
