Special Edition LEGO Store minifigure to celebrate 100 North America openings

A surprise special edition minifigure is being given away at LEGO Stores in the USA for this weekend only.

Yesterday, the 100th LEGO Store in the USA opened at Crossgates Mall in Albany, New York. The Brick Fan reports that to celebrate the milestone, every LEGO Store in the USA is giving away a limited quantity of special 100 LEGO Stores North America minifigures and posters. Both the minifigure itself and the 2×4 brick it stands on have special printing to make them unique.

An e-mail was sent out to fans in the USA, although some who are signed up did not receive them, as the Brick Fan confirms. The promotion continues today and tomorrow, until supplies run out. To find out if a particular store still has stock, the best thing to do is call ahead and check.

Those who do live nearby either Crossgates Mall, Albany, New York or Dadeland Mall, Miami, Florida, where new LEGO Stores are opening, can also find the following promotions taking place:

  • On Saturday, the first 500 customers will get a free Emmet’s House micro build with any $50 purchase.
  • On Sunday, the first 400 customers with get a free “limited edition” Emmet t-shirt with any $75 purchase.
